High-street lenders will often decline your mortgage application if you have had financial difficulties in the past. There are however, lenders who specialise in providing adverse credit mortgages to people who have had such difficulties.

Adverse credit lenders make mortgages more obtainable for those with a poor credit history or bad credit rating allowing mortgages to be obtained by everyone no matter what your credit status.

If you do have poor credit then with a large enough deposit you should be able to obtain a competitive rate adverse credit mortgage. You will then be on route to repairing your credit rating. Interest rates may be a little higher because the lender views the borrower as a higher risk which protects the lender should the borrower default on mortgage payments. If you do not have a deposit you can still get a 100% adverse mortgage. Contact us for details.

Think carefully before securing other debts against your home. Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage or any other debt secured on it. We do not usually charge a fee for mortgage advice. However you do have the option to pay a fee of 1.5% of the loan value and then you would receive any commission payable by the lender. The overall cost for comparison is 7.7% APR. The actual rate available will depend upon your circumstances. Ask for a personalised illustration.
